State Bank of India [SBI] All Set to hire 20,000 Staff by 2013 Requirement [Bank]
The State Bank of India is all game to stretch its staff by ten
percent by 2013. The bank is all set to add twenty thousand people
across both the clerical and the officer cadres.
A huge chunk of the new recruits will be required for the one
thousand two hundred new branches that it proposes to open in 2012. SBI
is also recruiting to prepare itself for the impending retirements of
its existing staff.
SBI has proposed to recruit nineteen thousand clerks and one thousand
officers now. It had 80,329 officers and 95,018 clerks on its rolls in
the month of June 2012. So far, till June 2012, SBI has 2.14 lakh staff
on its rolls.
